Nocturne - 2026 Autumn Collection

Nocturne - 2026 Autumn Collection

There's no moon tonight. Only the streetlamps glowing through the mist and leaves chasing each other across the pavement.

You pull your coat tighter around you and keep walking.

You should go home, but you notice the café. It's sitting at the end of the street with an eerie pull you can’t explain, like it's been expecting you. Its warm amber light beckons you from foggy windows. That's so strange, you think to yourself, you don't remember ever seeing it before.

The bell above the door gives a soft chime when you step inside.

Warmth floods you instantly.

Then the scent.

Earthy wood. Fresh coffee. Cinnamon chai. Exotic spiced honey. Something sweet mingling with incense smoke.

Your feet carry you farther inside before you have time to think about it. There is something almost automatic about the way you move through the room, as if you have walked through that door a hundred times before.

Like this is the safest, most familiar place you have ever known, but you know you have never been here.

And yet, somehow, some deep part of you recognizes the feeling of this place.

Books cover the walls from floor to ceiling, their worn spines faded over decades. A vase of your favorite flowers sits on the counter, beautiful even as the petals begin to curl at the edges.

The room is empty.

Almost.

A candle burns on a small table near the window. Beside it sits a cup of coffee, still steaming.

You hesitate before walking closer.

That’s when you see the envelope with your name written across the front. You catch your breath and glance toward the counter.

“Hello?”

Nothing.

Only the quiet ticking of an old clock and the gentle roll of thunder outside.

You should leave.

Instead, you feel compelled to sit down.

The envelope feels soft beneath your fingertips, and the ink looks faded, like it's older than it should be.

Inside are four words.

You’ve been here before.

A nervous laugh slips from your lips.

Cute. Some elaborate café gimmick. That has to be it.

The candle flickers and the fragrance changes.

Someone’s cologne.

Your chest tightens. The scent feels familiar, but not from any memory you can place.

It feels like missing someone you can’t remember.

You close your eyes.

For one impossible second, an image flashes through your mind:

A hand reaching for yours.

A low voice beside your ear.

The unmistakable heat of another body just behind you.

Then it’s gone.

Your eyes fly open, and you whip around. The dim café is still empty. Your coffee sits untouched. Outside, you didn't even notice rain had started tapping softly against the glass.

You look back at the letter.

There is writing on the other side, you know for certain it wasn’t there before.

Stay awhile.

A chill moves across your skin.

You should be afraid, but instead you feel yourself being pulled towards something you can’t put your finger on.

A memory? A dream? A feeling?

You lift the cup to your lips and breathe in.

The candle patiently burns next to you, filling the room with that intoxicating fragrance. It's something warm and familiar that makes your heart ache for reasons you don’t understand.

So you stop trying to understand, and you let out a deep breath to just let yourself feel whatever it is you're going to feel.

And that’s when a soft voice breaks the silence:

“You came back.”
